Our Design Process
We provide comprehensive landscape designs or one-time landscape consultations for residential property on projects of all sizes, in any style suitable to your tastes and architectural needs.
Initial Meeting
If comprehensive landscape design services are desired, then the usual process includes an initial meeting where design parameters such as the following are discussed:
the functions of various parts of the property
the needs of the people who will use the property
style and colour preferences
required design elements
maintenance issues
privacy issues
sun and shade
lighting
pet needs
SPEA requirements
Second Meeting
A presentation of the first design concept with discussion about how it fits your wants and needs. Following this meeting (typically virtual), we apply your thoughts and ideas and revise the initial concept. This process continues until you are 100% happy with the final design of your yard.
Most often, the clients will then have their design priced by landscape contractors who will be able to use the scaled drawing to easily compare apples with apples. For installation purposes, quality landscape contractor references are available upon request.
